Terms of Service
Effective: June 9, 2026
These terms govern use of CheckInBDA. By creating a business account or using the service, you agree to use it lawfully and responsibly.
CheckInBDA provides QR code customer check-in and a live arrival dashboard for Bermudian service businesses. Businesses use the service to manage customer arrivals and walk-ins without requiring a customer app.
Business responsibilities
Businesses are responsible for account security, authorized staff access, lawful collection of customer information, and an appropriate data retention policy for their Bermudian customers and operations.
Businesses are responsible for configuring check-in fields that are appropriate for their industry, customer workflow, and legal obligations. Businesses should collect only the information needed for arrival management.
Businesses are responsible for meeting the Bermuda privacy, consumer, employment, accessibility, and sector requirements that apply to their own organization.
Do not use CheckInBDA for emergencies. Do not request symptoms, diagnoses, treatment details, insurance numbers, emergency information, sensitive medical details, or highly sensitive personal information through CheckInBDA.
Businesses are responsible for controlling staff access, removing access when staff leave or no longer need it, and keeping account credentials secure.
Customer arrival retention
CheckInBDA is configured around a 90-day customer arrival retention period for routine operations. Longer retention may apply where needed for legal obligations, security, billing, support, or dispute resolution.
Information we process
CheckInBDA may process customer check-in data, business account data, staff user data, request-access submissions, and email notification or add-on related data. This may include arrival details, business and staff contact information, and email addresses needed to send notifications when those features are enabled.
Export and deletion requests
Businesses may contact CheckInBDA for help with export or deletion requests from Bermudian customers or staff. Requests may require account verification and may be limited by technical, legal, security, billing, or dispute-resolution requirements.
Acceptable use
You may not misuse the service, probe its security, interfere with availability, submit unlawful content, or access information belonging to another business.
Availability
We work to keep CheckInBDA reliable, but the service is provided as available. Features may change as the service improves.
